Book Arts Program Studio Support & Outreach Education Coordinator -- J. Willard Marriott Library, University of Utah

The Book Arts Program at the J. Willard Marriott Library, University of Utah seeks a professional to join an active arts education program. This position will provide administrative support for faculty and coordinate with other team members to plan and coordinate programming that meets the needs of students, studio users, and the broader community.


The Book Arts Studio Support & Outreach Education Specialist will contribute to the communication, scheduling, and planning efforts for all Book Arts programming, including academic support and coordination and delivery of K-12 and adult community outreach initiatives. The position will teach book arts in Utah high school classrooms and other venues, inventory and order supplies, respond to requests regarding teaching and outreach sessions, maintain address and registration lists, assist in preparation for teaching activities, and contribute to programmatic reporting and assessment. This role requires significant attention to detail and substantial independent focus. The individual in this position will travel to Utah schools and other venues in addition to working on campus, and must have a valid Utah driver’s license. The Marriott Library van can be reserved or travel in a personal vehicle will be reimbursed.


This position is currently designed as a hybrid of on-campus and remote work. Specific telecommuting arrangements will be based on the needs of the position and authorized at the discretion of the supervisor.

Salary: $45,000 - $48,000
