The University of Colorado Boulder (CU Boulder) Libraries invites applications from collaborative and innovative candidates for the position of Business Research & Instruction Librarian! The Business Research & Instruction Librarian is a teaching professor non-tenure track faculty position reporting to the Head of the Relationship Building and Engagement Section. A typical annual merit formula for teaching professor-track faculty may be 70% librarianship, 10% scholarly and creative work, and 20% service.


This position plays a highly collaborative role that supports the research, teaching and learning for business and related programs. Duties include participating in all aspects of liaison librarianship in support of Leeds School of Business and related departments and programs: instruction, relationship building, reference/consultation, subject expertise, collection development, and advocacy. This position will focus on instruction and research assistance, as it is responsible for maintaining and enhancing a robust information literacy instruction program for the school of business and identifying campus partnerships.


This position will lead the William M. White Business library instruction program including conducting information literacy instruction sessions, creating and maintaining online learning modules, and coordinating undergraduate curricular integration. The Business Research & Instruction Librarian participates in a team-oriented environment, and collaborative project development. An essential element of this position is participation in building an inclusive campus environment. This position performs duties as assigned by the team and section leaders. Responsibilities include some research and creative work and service in keeping with the teaching professor-rank standards of the University of Colorado Boulder. The Business Research & Instruction Librarian will be a member of the Libraries’ Branches & Services Team which is part of the Success & Engagement Strategies Chapter. The successful candidate will be appointed as a full-time (12 month) teaching professor-track faculty member. The starting salary range for Teaching Assistant Professor is $68,000-$73,000. A candidate with seven or more years of professional experience may be eligible for the rank of Teaching Associate Professor with a starting salary range of $76,000-$81,000. 


Relocation assistance may be available within University Libraries guidelines. Faculty receive limited professional development funds annually.
