Computer and Natural Sciences Research and Instruction Librarian -- University of Washington

Under the direction of the Director of Teaching and Learning Services and in consultation with the Head of Undergraduate Instruction, the Computer and Natural Sciences Research and Instruction Librarian will collaborate with library colleagues and across campus to provide instruction and reference services, and to develop library collections.


As a member of a collaborative and supportive team of fifteen librarians, they will contribute to the library’s Teaching and Learning program by collaborating with faculty to provide course-integrated information literacy instruction across the curriculum at Cascadia College and UW Bothell. They will develop, deliver, and assess information literacy instruction utilizing learning technologies, active learning strategies, and inclusive and culturally responsive pedagogies in support of student learning.


They will liaise with the UW Bothell School of STEM’s divisions of Biological Sciences and Physical Sciences, and to the natural science associate degree programs at Cascadia College. In collaboration with two librarians, they will liaise with the School of STEM’s Computing and Software Systems division at UW Bothell, and the bachelor and professional/technical degrees in computer science and information technology at Cascadia College.


Salary: The base salary range for this position will be $5,500-$7,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Other compensation associated with this position may include a moving allowance.
