The WSU Libraries are now recruiting for an Undergraduate Services Librarian in the Research Services Unit on the Pullman campus. This full-time, twelve-month, tenure-track faculty position is now open for applications.

The Washington State University Libraries invites applications for Undergraduate Services Librarian, a full-time, 12-month, tenure-track position, reporting to the Head of Research Services, and located on the Pullman campus. The Undergraduate Services Librarian participates in the development, delivery and ongoing assessment of the instruction program for general education courses and of our virtual and in-person reference services. The position leads efforts to create and maintain online learning tools and works to support the needs of faculty implementing information literacy instruction across the curriculum.

Required Qualifications:

Master’s degree from an ALA-Accredited Library and Information Studies program at date of hire; excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to work creatively, collaboratively, and effectively both as a team member and independently; and experience with creating online tutorials and instructional materials.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in an academic library setting; experience with classroom teaching inside or outside the library setting; experience in delivering reference or one-on-one services in person or online; experience with learning management systems; experience with distance learning; demonstrated ability to assess and improve services; demonstrated commitment to and experience with diverse populations; documented achievement in research and creative work and professional service.
