Access and Collections Librarian— PASCAL (Partnership Among South Carolina Academic Libraries)

The Access and Collections Librarian is a member of PASCAL's Content and Services Team and will be responsible for coordinating the consortium's management of collections and resource sharing services. Working closely with other PASCAL staff and member librarians, the Access and Collections Librarian will develop services and technologies to support seamless user access to collections, will help to craft a vision for a common collection, and will work collaboratively with colleagues to implement that vision.

PASCAL is a consortium of 56 college and university libraries housed within the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education. PASCAL fosters cooperation on a broad range of issues including shared licensing of electronic resources, universal borrowing, collaborative collection management, affordable learning, and library systems support. PASCAL is in the process of implementing a shared library service platform using Alma/Primo for 55 libraries. Learn more about PASCAL: http://pascalsc.org.
The Content and Services Team's major areas of activity include electronic resource licensing, shared print and electronic collection management, resource sharing, affordable learning, training and assessment. The CS team coordinates with PASCAL’s Shared Library Services Program (SLSP) team and member librarians in leveraging the state’s shared Alma-Primo system to support its activities.
