The University Library seeks an enthusiastic and collaborative liaison librarian to engage and support the undergraduate, graduate, and professional students enrolled in health sciences disciplines at UIC. This position is in the Information Services and Research (ISR) Department of the Library of the Health Sciences (LHS) in Chicago, IL. The successful candidate will act as liaison librarian to the UIC College of Dentistry (COD); they will also lead projects related to student success across all health sciences disciplines.
The Student Success Librarian will explore opportunities to meet the social and emotional needs of health sciences students through Library programming and services, working to expand the existing UIC Library Student Success Program (LSSP) to the Library of the Health Sciences. They will serve as liaison librarian to the College of Dentistry and support general reference and instruction services as as member of the ISR department.
This tenure-track appointment includes the expectation that the faculty member will be actively engaged in and significantly contribute to the profession through research/scholarship and service related to professional and scholarly interests. This includes publication, presentation, and committee work at various levels.
