Overview: Reporting to the Vice Provost and Dean of University Libraries, the Associate Dean for Research and Learning Services

(RLS) is responsible for strategic visioning, policy and program development, and oversight of operations, personnel, budget, and overall excellence in the departments that comprise of about 120 staff members in the following RLS departments --Access Services; Research Services; Learning Services; Information Technology Services and Digital Strategies; and Scholarly Communication and Publishing. Serving on the Libraries Cabinet, the Associate Dean: works closely with other senior leaders within and across portfolios to ensure services and collections are responsive to the needs of diverse users; actively contributes to the ongoing stewardship and strategic directions of the Libraries; develops staff at all levels; supports the learning organization; nurtures an inclusive environment that supports diversity and equity; and provides leadership at local, state, regional, national, and international levels.
