E-Resources Acquisitions & Licensing Librarian -- University of Colorado Boulder

The University of Colorado Boulder Libraries seek a collaborative and strategic individual to serve as our E-Resources Acquisitions & Licensing Librarian! The E-Resources Acquisitions & Licensing Librarian is primarily responsible for reviewing and negotiating license agreements and organizing and maintaining license records for the University Libraries. In addition, the E-Resources Acquisitions & Licensing Librarian works closely with the Collection Development & Assessment, subject liaisons, Metadata and Discovery Optimization, colleagues across the University of Colorado system, and vendors to support acquisitions workflows related to purchasing electronic resources such as new purchases, renewals, invoicing, and cancellations. They are also responsible for developing expertise on current and emerging licensing practices to negotiate licenses for electronic resources, streaming media, public performance rights, data and datasets, open access, and consortial agreements. In collaboration with stakeholders such as the Collection Management Team Lead and Acquisitions & Accounting Section Lead, this position will contribute to the development of licensing strategies that consider long-term implications and advances the University Libraries’ commitment to openness and inclusive excellence.

As a member of the faculty, the E-Resources Acquisitions & Licensing Librarian will be expected to maintain a scholarly record, contribute to professional service, and actively engage in faculty governance. Additionally, an essential element of this position is participation in the Libraries’ Commitment to Diversity and Inclusive Excellence and contributing to cultivating inclusive Libraries and campus environments. This is a non-tenure track, faculty position that will be hired at the Teaching Assistant Professor rank and reporting to the Acquisitions and Accounting Section Lead. The E-Resources Acquisitions & Licensing Librarian will be a member of the Libraries’ Acquisitions and Accounting Services Section which is part of the Research and Innovation Strategies Chapter.
