IT Support Computing Analyst II (Extended Temporary) -- University of Arizona Libraries

The University of Arizona Libraries Access and Information Services department and the Libraries Technology Strategy and Services department are jointly seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and dedicated professional with strong proficiencies in IT and AV knowledge. In this position, you will be equally split between these two departments to help our highly collaborative team deliver customer-focused support to the 2-year National Telecommunications and Information Administration Connecting Minority Communities grant as a part of the UA Project Connect Arizona Now (CAN). We are a large academic research library providing a broad range of collections and services to a diverse audience, including undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty, researchers, staff, community users, and donors. You will be directly contributing to operational elements of the daily and strategic work that make the Libraries a key partner on campus.


You will act as key support for the technology lending program at the University Libraries, including processing equipment, managing the award process, placing holds, and shipping items, tracking, and reporting on relevant use data, and writing progress updates for the grant. This role will also investigate, implement, and provide training content for this lending technology, aid in the oversight of the grant budget, manage inventory, and act as a liaison to other areas of the library for billing and IT support. As needed, you will collaborate with the Information and Training team to provide content for identified training and aid in the optimization of this service.


You may be requested to make schedule adjustments to assist with any other components of the grant.


Individuals will be responsible for fostering and participating in an environment of change across the organization, including acting as a liaison to other departments. As customers’ needs change, the assignments, work and hours may change. You will also be responsible for performing leadership functions such as participating in decision making and appropriately communicating with relevant stakeholders. This is an Extended Temporary Employment (ETE) one-year position with the possibility of extension for one additional year.


Rate of Pay: $25.50 + DOE
