Full-time, 12-month, permanent, Civil Service staff position located in Access Services in Holland/Terrell in the Washington State University Libraries. This position will be located on the WSU Pullman Campus.

Summary of Duties: The primary responsibilities of this position are patron assistance, holds and shipping, and training/leading student employees. Work hours will be Monday-Friday 3am to 11:30am during fall and spring semesters. Summer and holiday hours will vary.

Specific duties include: Patron assistance, holds and shipping, training/leading, stacks maintenance, book covering, inventory/searching, document/project management.


Required: High school graduation or equivalent and one year of experience in the functional operations of a library or archives. Equivalent education or experience will substitute. One year of experience beyond the entry level in a library Access Services or Circulation department. Ability to work specified hours, Monday through Friday, 3am-11:30am. Ability to work night and/or weekend hours as needed.

Preferred: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.

Monthly Salary: Range #35, $2,890 - $3,734 (Step A through L). Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
