Digital Operations Audiovisual Coordinator -- J. Willard Marriott Library at the University of Utah

Provide key project and supervisory support for the Head of Digital Operations. This includes leading a small team of part-time technicians, acting as liaison with clients when projects launch, and staying current with the latest digitization technologies, equipment, and techniques.
This individual will be responsible for creating and managing files for use in online collections of the J. Willard Marriott Library. This job requires converting from analog A/V formats to digital formats from a wide range of media, including film, cassette tape, reel to reel, beta, VHS, umatic and more. It also includes post processing and editing of digital files. Some troubleshooting of hardware and software issues may also be required. Must work and communicate well in a team environment.
Duties may entail technical planning, development, integration, verification, validation, and support for software tools and applications. This individual will be required to coordinate projects with various library departments, university clients, and clients external to campus in a professional and timely manner that enhances and expands the Marriott Digital Library.
Requires specialist knowledge for handling and digitizing rare materials and transparencies, including photograph negatives, slides and prints.

Salary: $45,000 to $48,000
