Library Services Associate III -- University of Arizona Libraries
Post date: July 6, 2023
The University of Arizona Libraries invites applications for a Library Services Associate (LSA) III. This position will support the Discovery Unit within the Collection Services Department. The focus of this position will be on receiving, cataloging and processing physical/print materials in all formats for the university’s Main, Science & Engineering, Fine Arts, Health Sciences and Special Collections libraries. The position will work independently and in collaboration with other Discovery Unit team members to ensure materials are received and accurate records are created in the library services platform (Ex Libris/Alma) utilizing current cataloging standards. Because many materials maintained in the library encompass a wide range of languages, familiarity with cataloging non-English materials is needed. The position will also be responsible for physical processing of items, including fragile/rare Special Collections items, requiring creation/placement of spine labels, bar codes and RFID tagging. Creating invoices for received materials and working with vendors for outsourced cataloging/processing services is also an important function of this position.
