Metadata Strategies Librarian -- Arizona State University

The Metadata Strategies Librarian will join our Acquisitions and Metadata team in providing essential services to connect our researchers and learners with the information resources they need to succeed. Reporting to the Head of Acquisitions and Metadata Services, this position serves a critical role in developing and contributing policies, standards and services that enhance the discovery of ASU Library’s extensive collection of print and digital resources.


Working collaboratively with ASU Library staff and community stakeholders, the Metadata Strategies Librarian will lead efforts to adopt and implement linked data initiatives, maximize the use of technology and emerging standards to foster workflow efficiency and innovation, and coordinate metadata development, transformation, and repurposement projects.


Salary: This is a Continuing Appointment track Academic Professional position; Assistant/Associate Librarian rank and salary dependent upon experience.
